What is Hormone Yoga Therapy?

Our hormones direct all functions of the body. Their balance is a key to unlocking and maintaining optimal health, longevity, mental clarity and state of wellbeing. Hormone Yoga Therapy (HYT) is a natural and holistic approach to balance and reactivate hormone production. It combines yoga positions modified to focus on key parts of women body with breathing excercises and energy circulation to massage and reactivate glands and balance hormone production. It merges Hatha yoga, Kundalini yoga and Tibetan energy techniques and the sequence is ended with a luscious yoga nidra (yogic sleep) finale.

The wonderful lady next to me is Dinah Rodriguez. She is the 92 year-old creator of Hormone Yoga Therapy, truly inspiring woman and a living testament to the power of her method. At 92 she still travels around the world, teaches yoga, demonstrating herself all the poses, and spreads her message about women’s health and wellbeing which can flourish at any age.

Hormone Yoga is suitable for women of all ages, with or without yoga experience. The practice of hormone yoga therapy helps to create an optimal, well-balanced level of reproductive hormones in a woman’s body. It consists of 14 exercises that stimulate and act directly on ovaries, thyroid,  hypothalamus, pituitary and adrenal glands and naturally balance the production of hormones in these glands. After learning the whole sequence, it only takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and can be practiced by women at comforts of their homes. While some women experience results immediately (radiating skin, the return of regular menstruation, end to insomnia), many problems can be radically improved by regular practice in 1 – 2 months.

How does Hormone Yoga Therapy work?

HYT helps to reactivate creation of women’s hormones and lessen or remove any symptoms of their imbalance or low level in the body. HYT works on physical, psychological and energetic level. Regular practice rejuvenates the whole endocrine system and body, strengthens the ovaries, thyroid, adrenals, pituitary gland and increases vitality and wellbeing. Pregnancy, advanced endometriosis, breast cancer, advanced osteoporosis (which threatens to fracture bones), increased thyroid function, inflammation of the inner ear, heart problems or previous heart surgery, before or shortly after abdominal surgery, shortly after a hysterectomy, large fibroids, or unspecified abdominal pain.
