About

I have always been a seeker, seeker of truth, health, alternatives, balance, peace both outside and within me. I chose to work in the development and humanitarian sectors and over the past 12 years, I lived and worked in  Afghanistan, Colombia, Iraq, Cambodia, Honduras, Jordan as well as Spain, Belgium and my home the Czech republic. Service to others, as my key life value and principle, has always guided my actions. When I found yoga and fully emerged myself in the practice, discovering different aspects of it, I knew I discovered something, which can make my life more whole. Yoga helped me heal from a serious accident and a spine injury, balance my physical and mental health, heal after miscarriage and then get pregnant, get through a difficult start of life of my daughter born nearly 3 months premature, and be more present and show up for myself and others with more energy and passion.

I first fell in love with Bikram yoga, soon to discover Ashtanga, Kundalini and Somatic Yoga and never stopped exploring since. I taught yoga for the first time in the living room of a friend in an NGO guesthouse in Iraq in 2015. I wasn’t certified then, but realized, how much sharing this practice brings me joy. Just before I became a certified yoga teacher, I also discovered the practice of Hormonal Yoga Therapy. Even after a decade of practicing yoga and actively pursuing a healthy lifestyle, it made me realize how little I knew about how my body works, especially the parts that are unique to me as a woman. After seeing its impacts, balancing my cycle, alleviating pain, lessening PMS symptoms, losing excess bloating in my body and improving my well being in all possible aspects, I knew this is something that I need to share. I applied for the HYT teacher training and dove deep into the science of female hormones, the science of our cycles and bodies and its optimal health.

After my daughter was born at only 28 weeks, I entered in a new phase of my yoga journey, the yoga of neonatal intensive unit survival, the yoga of joy and despair of motherhood. I am still healing on that journey although it took me a long time to fully acknowledge that I needed the healing.

Information I gather and publish on this website and are my offerings to you, my dear wonderful women. Because I believe that there is more to our wellbeing and health and that we have the power to bring in balance our bodies, minds, and souls and be truly ourselves, unapologetically, with all the energy and strength, vulnerability and passion, living our lives and fulfilling our highest potential, to co-create a world we want to live in.
